Update on Us

Wow it's been a while since I got on here and a lot has gone on. The girls started a new school since Grants not teaching this year they couldn't go back to their old one because it was for employees of the school district. They seem to enjoy it. Girls have done a lot but since I didn't write sooner I don't remember it all.

Nolyn

In November Nolyn turned 3. I can't believe how big she's getting and smart. Her teacher Ms Rachel says she's a big help since she knows all her colors, shapes, letters, ect. In September we went for her yearly checkup with the urologist. There was no change and back in a year. For those who don't know or remember she when she was born an enlarged kidney. Here's a couple of pictures from the day.

Camryn

Cami is actually now as big as her big sister, it's really kinda sad. A month ago we took Cami to her 6 month check up with the cardiologist. For those who don't know Cami has a hole in her heart. She has the same thing I had as a baby. Her appointment went real good. She sees the same cardiologist I saw so he knows the history very well. And since he saved my life I trust him all the way. So we go back in April, then we will do another Echo to look at the hole. Dr Allender says after the appointment he will present it to the board and put her up for a catheter to patch the hole or for surgery. On the day of the appointment she had to take both Elmo and Baby Bop.

Easter 2011

This was the first year Camryn got to hunt so this was a big year. The girls had hunts at school and then Sunday after church we had our Annual Church hunt. At school Camryn was a little of an egg hog. At one point she actually took another girls basket and started putting eggs in it. At church she was with kids a little older then she, but no worries the big kids would get eggs and put them in Camryn's basket was the sweetest thing. Of course we got pictures of it all.

ER fun

Well today Grant and I had a first, we had to take Nolyn to the ER for stitches in her chin. She fell at church and busted her chin open. I still don't really understand how it happen, I was standing right there when she fell, but she's taken much worse falls and didn't even get a scratch. Heres a couple of pictures from our adventure.

Zoo Day

Yesterday Grant and I took the girls to the Ft Worth Zoo. Nolyn's been to our little local zoo but they don't have things like elephants, lions, or tigers. We had such a good time. I wanted to share a few pictures from the day since I haven't posted in a while.

Visiting Santa

Ok, so I'm a little late here, but our computer at home is down. Nolyn has always done well with Santa, but since this was Cami's first time we didn't know what to expect. The girls had actually saw a Santa at the family Thanksgiving and also saw one at school and both went well. Actually the one at school Cami is smiling and that is one of the only pictures of her smiling. So we kinda thought this shouldn't be a problem. So Grant and I planned after Church one Sunday we would go to Willowbend and finish some Christmas shopping and get the Santa picture. So after waiting in line for TWO hours this is what we got.
A really good picture with both kids smiling. Nolyn talked to Santa telling him she wanted a tiger and Dora. And that she's been finding Ju-Ju the Elf (Elf on the shelf) every morning. And Santa told her that Ju-Ju has told him she has been a very good girl, and she needs to continue to be a good girl. Even though is was a long wait we had a fun day with the girls.
